He was predeceased by: his children, Kim, Doug and Brett Welsh. He is survived by: his significant other Kiki Melin; and his children, Shelly Johnson, Tammy Koenen (Steve), Kerry, Kip Welsh, Sarah Koivisto (Jeremy), Jeremy Melin and Jodie Bong. He is also survived by 19 grandkids.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Nelson Funeral Care (1004 Cloquet Ave, Cloquet, MN 55720).
