It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dolores Mae Berning (Albertville, Minnesota), born in Elk River, Minnesota, who passed away on January 24, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederic Lewis and Lenore Lewis (Scherber); her husband Joe Berning; her sister Mary Rose Biegert; her parents-in-law, Marcus and Teresa Berning; her great grandchild Leo Weber; her daughter-in-law Gail Bakeberg; and her siblings-in-law, Richard Biegert, Ray Berning, Jerome Berning, Evelyn Stupfel (Berning), Doris Lee (Berning), Anita Berning and Martha Lewis.

She is survived by: her children, Karen Berning (Bruce Yeager) of St. Michael, Jane Kolles (Eugene) of Albertville, Steven Berning (Terry) of St. Michael, Jill Hagen (Dan) of Buffalo and Scott Berning (Gigette) of Monticello; her grandchildren, Angie Weber (Josh), Eric Kolles (Ashley), Tricia Allen (Ben), Geoffrey Berning, Antonia Berning Scilley (Matthew), Philip and Mara Hagen; her siblings, Luonne Kennedy (Mike), Dennis Lewis (Rita), David Lewis (Marie), Larry Lewis (Bonnie), Joe Lewis (Linda), Doug Lewis (Pat), Mike Lewis (Barb) and Greg Lewis; and her brother-in-law James Berning (Mary). She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
