“Claire was my "English Nanny" after my mother died when I was 3. I think she came to us when I was about 4 and she had been off the plane about 20 minutes. (Kindly see also my sister Anne's post.) Claire was indeed sent by God to our family. Her huge heart brought us so much light, love, and laughter. She made my feel very special at a time when I needed it. I was a very busy kid. When I would get under foot she would send me out to play "in the garden." I probably owe my love for digging in dirt and plants to her. Although I don't think it was funny back then! Bob an family, please find comfort in happy memories of Claire. She was our angel. And may God continue to hold you all in the palm of His hand.”
