She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Vanderploeg and Marie Vanderploeg (Middel); and her siblings, Sadie Deboer, Cornie Vanderploeg, Jeanette Van De Brake, Ray Vanderploeg and Pete Vanderploeg.
She is survived by: her spouse Gerrit Meelker; her son Gary Meelker; and her daughter-in-law Jane Meelker. She is also survived by two grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Due to Covid, funeral services will be held at a later date.
