It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wesley Nelson (Albert Lea, Minnesota), born in Alden, Minnesota, who passed away on September 7, 2019, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his son Craig Nelson (Phyllis); his parents, Nels Nelson and Mabel Nelson (Larson); his parents-in-law, John Travis and Esther Christian (Carlson); his siblings, Zola Utzke (Bob), Carroll (Margaret) and Manford (Deloris); his brother-in-law Robert Christian; his nieces, Gayle Lyon and Virginia Sandquist; and his nephew Gary Christian.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley L. C. Nelson; his children, Judy Dilling (Paul) and Brian Nelson (Cathy); his granddaughters, Jeanne Dilling and Susie Neist (Troy); his great grandchildren, Sadie and Levi; his grandson Zachary Nelson (Alisha); his great grandchildren, Reese and Avery; his grandchild Hilary Haddad (Jason); his great grandchildren, Alex and Jake; and his sister-in-law Florence Christian. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Youth for Christ, Mayo Clinic Albert Lea Cancer Center, or Mayo Clinic Hospice.
