With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Walter Schiltz (Albert Lea, Minnesota), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Walter left this world on November 3, 2024 at the age of 80, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Schiltz and Margaret Schiltz (McGuire); and his brothers, Robert, John and Donald Schiltz.
He is survived by: his wife Audrey Schiltz; his sons, Kirk (Lyndy), Kevin (Susan), Mike and Tom (Tricia); and his siblings, Mary Schmitt (Donald Schmitt), Cecelia Plathe (Dick Plathe) and Leon Schiltz. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Theodore Catholic Church (315 E Clark St, Albert Lea, MN 56007). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM at the St. Theodore Catholic Cemetery (315 E Clark St, Albert Lea, MN 56007).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Catholic Charities of Southern Minnesota in memory of Walter.
