With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rodney Schmidt of Albert Lea, Minnesota, born in Dickinson, North Dakota, who passed away on November 4, 2020 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Schmidt and Rose Schmidt; and his parents-in-law, Charles and Dorothea Rudolph. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Rudolph; his son Peter Schmidt (Susan); his grandchildren, Megan and Brooke of Duluth, MN; his son Philip Schmidt (Jennifer); his grandchild Lawson of Albert Lea, MN; his daughters, Rebecca Schmidt of Big Lake, MN and Angela (Chad); and his sister Patricia Lye (Dennis) of Taylor Mill.

Masks will be required and social distancing protocol will be followed.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Youth for Christ, Albert Lea.
