He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis L. Nelson and Ella A. Nelson (Olson); and his brothers, Donald Nelson, LuVerne Nelson (Violet), Virgil Nelson (Betty), Roger Nelson (Faye Taylor) and Thomas Nelson.
He is survived by: his sister Mary Lou Olson (Truman) of Brownsdale, MN. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
