He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Butters, Jr. and Alice Butters; and his sisters, JoAnn Rietveld (Curtis) and Beverly Thompson (Roger). He is survived by: his sister Darlene Butters (DeDe); his nieces and nephews, Todd Rietveld, Brian Rietveld, Amy Sanders (Todd), Beth Tollefson (Dan), Jeff Thompson, Michelle Romer (Brad) and Christine Hanson (Darren); his close friend Dick Forinash; and his brothers-in-law, Curt and Roger.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Peace Hospice in St. Paul.
