He is survived by: his wife Barb Jenner; his sons, Stephen Benson (Julie) of Staples and Allan Benson (Sarah Tovar) of Shakopee; his grandchildren, Katie, Jack and Carter Benson; and his siblings, Thomas Benson (Shirley) and Bill Benson.
