He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Emanuel Kary and Gertrude Kary; his brother Dean Kary; his wife Judith Kary (Rau); his daughters, Liz Guenther (Mark), Katherine Kary (Sandy), Laura Smith (Tom) and Sue Severson (Shane); his grandchildren, Kristine Trueman (Alex), Dustin Guenther (Julia), Jarrad Smith, Ashley Smith-Mikkelson (Ryan), Leah Smith, Emily Severson and Nick Severson; his great grandchildren, Lincoln, Vaeda, Jaxon, Ashton and Lily; his brother Merlin Kary; and his sister-in-law Donna Kary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Kiwanis Club, Salvation Army or United Methodist Church.
