He is survived by: his wife Pierrette; his children, Dolores Gavle (Stephan), Paul Gavle (Shelly), Fran Hedum and JP Gavle (Nikky); his stepdaughter Christine Cognee (Frances); his grandchildren, Matt Peterson (Janet), Karen Peterson (Ryan), Nikki Johnson (Jamie), Elise Erickson (Joe), Amber Niebuhr (Shawn), Jason Hedum (Brandi), Olivia Hedum (Darion), Alex Gavle (Maddy), Emma Gavle (Alex) and Eric Gavle (Maddy); his stepgrandchildren, Stephan Navarro Jr., Nash Navarro, Marshall McCarty (Katie), Mitchell McCarty, Matthew McCarty (Emily), Sonia, Emilie and Thibaut; his siblings, Ramona Skola (Billy), Bruce Stenhovden (Carmen) and Clarence Thompson; and his sister-in-law Marie-Francoise Lebas. He is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-granddaughters.
