She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Strehlo and Esther Strehlo (Barth); her husband Millard Hamborg; and her sister Genevieve Adams. She is survived by: her children, Rev. Daphne Hamborg (Mary Fiel) of Albert Lea, Roland (Amy Hamborg) of Prescott, WI and Joan Vanderploeg (Rick) of Albert Lea; her grandchildren, Benjamin Hamborg, Dr. Joshua Hamborg of Grand Rapids, MN, Joseph Hamborg of Hastings, MN, Tessa Hamborg of Springfield, VT and Jay Vanderploeg (Katie) of Angier, NC; and her sister Jule Moldenhauer. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Lutheran Church (301 W Clark St, Albert Lea, MN 56007). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 1:15 PM to 2:15 PM at the Hillcrest Cemetery (17544 US-65, Albert Lea, MN 56007).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church Peace and Power, and to St. Croix Hospice, who provided remarkable care for her.
