He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Schuhmacher and Adella Schuhmacher (Stuart); his daughter-in-law Lavonne Updike; and his brother LaVern. He is survived by: his pets, Tiffany, Jasper and Jackson; his wife Bonnie; his children, Scott (Linda Remsburg) and Sheri Moyer (Michael); and his grandchildren, Brian Schuhmacher (Regan), Elaine Schuhmacher (Jacob Douglas), Nicholas Moyer and Jordan Moyer.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to the Freeborn County Humane Society and First Lutheran Peace and Power of Albert Lea.
