With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Merlin Melvin Atz (Albert Lea, Minnesota), born in Heron Lake, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 18, 2024 at the age of 89. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Atz and Anna Atz; his siblings, Lucille, Norman and Ray Atz; his siblings-in-law, Marilyn, Janice Atz, Merle Venenga, Donald Kruse and Dennis Schmidt; and his niece Amy Rozeboom.
He is survived by: his wife Arlene; his children, Debra Tubbs (Steve) and Bruce Atz; his grandchildren, Joshua Tubbs (Janelle Vietze), Matthew Tubbs (Brie Woitas), Christine Blake (Ryan), Leah Atz (Katy Downs) and Taylor Atz (Jaden Rasmusson); his great grandchildren, Warner, Arlo Tubbs, Wynn, London Tubbs, Fiona Blake, Huxley and Brixton Atz; his siblings, Marion Rumpf (Rich), Evelyn Potratz, Myrtle Kruse and Dennis Atz (Sharon); and his siblings-in-law, Ardyce McCrary (Den) and Jim Williams (Barb).
