Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Mary Claassen of Albert Lea, Minnesota, who passed away at the age of 97, on February 18, 2021. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Edgar and Gertrude Emma Owen (Livers); her husband Edward; her siblings, Jane Owen and John Owen Jr.; and her siblings-in-law, Marcella Claassen, Donna Winkels (Ben), Rosa Helmen (Elmer), Rodney Ruud and Clarence DeWitt.

She is survived by: her children, Marilyn Claassen and Mark Claassen; her grandchildren, Jade, Alex and Courtney; her great grandchildren, Soren and Brooks; her sister Margie DeWitt of Evansville, Indiana; and her sister-in-law Jewell Ruud of Spring Valley. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
