He was predeceased by: his wife Trena; his parents, Eric Espe and Olga Espe; his siblings, Velma Houchin, Marion McClough, Helen Dean, Marlys Thostenson and Merlin Espe (Beverly); and his brothers-in-law, Daniel Bolhuis, Henry Bolhuis and Bill Noordhoek.
He is survived by: his children, Marilynn Lancaster (Todd), Michelle Oakland (Todd), Marlin Espe and Martie Carlsgaard; his grandchildren, Brook Lopez (Cristian), Eric Espe (Britani), Natalie Oakland (Timothy Kastens), Andrew Borland (Samantha Lein), Jacob Borland, Tyler Espe (Brenna Classen), Marissa Oakland, Morgan Espe and Brandon Espe; his great grandchildren, Gracelynn Lopez, Cristian Lopez, Leighton Borland, Evelynn Lopez and Levi Espe; and his sisters-in-law, Anna Noordhoek, Gloria Bolhuis and Dean. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
