She was predeceased by: her parents, Clement Shimon and Clara Shimon; her siblings, Carol Waters (Paul) and Ronald Shimon (Donna); her brother-in-law Ivan Grotenhuis; and her parents-in-law, Vera Longman and Stephen Chafee.
She is survived by: her husband Jerome Chafee; her children, Janene Lunning (Brad), Stephen Chafee, Rachel Chafee (Jim Gaylord) and Christine Dillenburg (Ryan); her grandchildren, Matthew Lunning (Abbey), Claire Lunning, Brighton Chafee, Liliana and Sydney Dillenburg; her great grandchild Bennett Lunning; her brother Raymond Shimon (Mary Lou); her sisters-in-law, Gwen Grotenhuis and Ginny Johnson (Lynn); and her friend Shirley Olsen. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bonnerup Funeral & Cremation Services (2210 E Main St, Albert Lea, MN 56007). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
