He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward "Eddie" and Martha (Bothum); his wives, Marilyn Kaufmann and Virginia "Jinni" Gaasedelen; his grandson Todd Jacobson; his great grandchildren, Kenden and Hayden Boehme; and his brothers, Stuart Olson and Russ Olson.

He is survived by: his children, Sharon Jacobson (Paul), Holly Wayne (Greg) and Steve Olson (Bonnie); his grandchildren, Nick Wayne (Katie), Nathan Wayne (Linnea), Ashley Boehme (Tim), Brian Jacobson and Jennifer Daddario (Keith); his great grandchildren, Amelia, Graham, Lincoln Wayne, Monroe Wayne, River Wayne, Vincent and Lucy Daddario; his sister-in-law Phiz Olson; and also, Kim Olson and Kris Ponto (Bruce).
