She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Flatness and Sena Flatness (Hauge); her husband Archie Lau; her son Ron Lau; her brothers, Marlin Flatness (Donna) and Richard Flatness; her parents-in-law, Virgil, Gen Lau, Jim Hulshizer (Madeline) and Willis Lau; her nephews, David and Jim Lau; and her niece Debra Olson.
She is survived by: her children, Roger Lau of Loveland, CO, Barb Nelson (Kent) of New Richland and Brenda Newman (Rich) of Albert Lea; her grandchildren, Jesse Lau (Kazio), Amanda Hlavacek (Eric), Chelsea Hotka (Phil), Kris Nelson (Tammy), Kelly Martens (Tony), Katie Meinzer (Jason), Kascey Haslanger (Michael), Jillian Clark (Luke), Adam Newman, Ashley Nelson (Clint Brua), Brandon Lau (Megan), Alex Lau (Christina), Haley Lau (Jacob Mickelson) and Keith Lau; her great grandchildren, Makenna, Dean, Julia, Brady, Blake, Christine, Emma, Brody, Allison, Carter, Corbin, Nathan, Cameron, Layne, Cole, Sophia, Sydney, Kourtney, Kali, Rylan, Broghan, Grant, Joselyn and Kiera; her sister Janice Houg; her sisters-in-law, Lois Flatness and Phyllis Lau; and her brothers, Don Flatness (Jan) and Lyle Flatness (Barb). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
