He was predeceased by: his parents, Olga Joachim (Lyngaas) and Kenneth John Joachim; his parents-in-law, Cora and Leonard Teigen; his brother Gerald Joachim; his sister-in-law Beverly Sprecher; and his niece Tammy Norby.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Teigen; his daughter Jodi Joachim; his son-in-law Randy Lein; his sisters, Mary Anderson (Steve), Betty Stoick (Ron) and Nancy Olsen (Michael); and his friend Lynn Stenftenagel. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, cousins.
Memorials to Peace and Power, Salvation Army, and Life Center of Freeborn County are suggested in lieu of flowers.
