It is with great sadness that we announce the death of JoAnn Horkey of Albert Lea, Minnesota, born in Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, who passed away on September 3, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though JoAnn may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Horkey and Helen Horkey (Butler); and her brother Robert Horkey (Donna). She is survived by: her nieces, Bernadine Graves of Alden, Colleen Schreiber of Albert Lea and Shelleen Horkey of Witchata, Kansas.
