He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Allison and Lavina Allison (Nelson); his parents-in-law, Donald and Bessie Nelson; his grandson Matthew Follmuth; his brother Kent; and his siblings-in-law, Helen Allison, Ted Harty and LaVonne Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Arlene Nelson; his daughters, Jody (Ken) Horntvedt, Rachel of Detroit, MI and Mary Jo (Pete) Follmuth; his grandchildren, Ryan (Jackie), Brooke Fluegel (Travis) and Ashley (Taylor) of Mankato, MN; his sons, Mike (Rhonda) and Allison of Glenville, MN; his grandchildren, Gavin (McKenna), Nicole (Jay) of Eau Claire, WI and Sara of Glenville, MN; his daughter Jean Spink (Paul); his grandchildren, Calum, Morgan (Jack) and Alister; his daughter Jennifer (David) Nortunen; his grandchildren, Mia (Jack) of New Richmond, WI and Kieren (Nout) of Madison, WI; his sister Gail Harty of Glenville, MN; his brother-in-law David Nelson of Glenville, MN; and also, Everett of Pinetop, AZ, William of Zumbrota, MN and Rory of Glenville, MN. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Round Prairie Lutheran Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund or memorial of donor's choice.
