With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Harvey Brua of Albert Lea, Minnesota, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Harvey left this world on December 5, 2024 at the age of 95, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Brua and Minnie "Oyer" Brua; his wife Donna Mae Haugland; his brothers, Howard (Theresa), Gerald (Clarine), Oyer "Ole" (Vivian), Charlie and Chauncey (Glenys); and his brother-in-law Ross Petersen.
He is survived by: his children, Ted Brua (Jana Lindh) of Hudson, WI, Penny Mortenson (Louie Jr.) of New Richland, MN, Robert Brua (Karen Machin) of Saskatoon and Saskatchewan; his grandchildren, Rebecca Beaudry (Josh) of Beaver Dam, WI, Joshua Brua of Rochester, MN, Aaron Brua, Louie Weston Mortenson (Jessica) of New Richland, MN, Cody Mortenson of Hartland, MN, Max, Kade Machin-Brua of Saskatoon and Saskatchewan; his great grandchildren, Tanner, Carter, Ryker, Henry and Lucas; his great great grandchild Maisyn; and his sister Francine Petersen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Lutheran Church (301 W Clark St, Albert Lea, MN 56007). A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location. The inurnment was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at the Graceland Cemetery (1800 W Main St, Albert Lea, MN 56007).
