The memory of George Brendan McCarthy of Albert Lea, Minnesota, who passed away on March 5, 2025 at the age of 94, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, George J. McCarthy and Esther McCarthy (Gear); his siblings, Gerald, John McCarthy and Mary Dickirson; and his sister-in-law Doreen McCarthy.
He is survived by: his wife Jean McCarthy of Albert Lea; his daughters, Mary Ann Kaufman (Chris) of Glen Ellyn, IL and Patricia Winters (Andy) of Maplewood; and his grandchildren, Olivia, John, Madison and Anne. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (111 4th St NW, Waseca, MN 56093). A Mass was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials preferred to the Minnesota Zoo or organization of donor's choice.
