He was predeceased by: his parents, Reinert Spilde and Gunda Spilde (Fredrickson); his son Larry; his siblings, Eleanor Godtland, Helen McDaniels and Willard; and his pet Toby.
He is survived by: his former spouse Shirley Aalfs; his sons, Scott (Roxanne) and Bruce (Vickie); his grandchildren, Kyle, Crysta, Wade, Misty, Heath, Shane, Michelle and Lee Reinert; and his sister-in-law Alice Spilde. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
