Florence Mae Olson Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Florence Mae Olson (Albert Lea, Minnesota), born in Winnebago, Minnesota, who passed away on February 24, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Willaby and Anna Willaby; her husband Elard Olson of Savior's Lutheran Church; her son-in-law Mike Kalvig; her brothers, Dennis (Mary), Alvin, Clarence Robert, Duane and David Willaby (Sonia); and her nephews, Bruce, Doug and Mike Willaby.
She is survived by: her children, Tarryl Olson (Heide), Steve Olson (Nicole), Tammy Kalvig and Shellby Finley (Darin); her grandchildren, Samantha Kloos (Ben), Lillian, Katherine, Tarryl Olson, Olivia (Dalex Hurley), Lucas, Ella Olson, Cody, Tanner (McKenzie Besco), Marissa Kalvig, Mason (Chelsey Morrow) and Ethan Choronzy; her great grandchildren, Jonah, Logan Kloos, Alexis, Brantley, Everly Kalvig, Chloey, Kaleb, Jaxon Kalvig, Grace Besco, Makayla Pobanz, Cebastion, Cathleena and Callahan Rogers; her sister Evelyn Willaby; and her siblings-in-law, Truman, Jim Olson (Leann), Karen Willaby, Dianne Willaby, Mary Olson and Shirley Olson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, March 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Lutheran Church (140 3rd Ave SW, Glenville, MN 56036). A graveside service was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Greenwood Cemetery.
