He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Halvorson and Elda Halvorson (Hargefeld); his sister Lorea VanHoudt (Don); his brothers-in-law, Donald Jensen, Dale Jensen (Sarah), Harley Jensen, Chuck Harty and Duane Johnson; his niece Kim VanHoudt; and his pet Brew.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen; his children, Steven VanMaldeghem and Carrie Brandsoy (Matt); his grandchildren, Hunter, Sawyer (Paige Peterson), Camryn, Quin VanMaldeghem, Codie (Mya), Lukas Wolfe and Kallen Brandsoy; his great grandchildren, Ivy and Baylor VanMaldeghem; his nieces and nephews, Lisa Knott, Lexie Heagy, John VanHoudt, Andrew and Tyler Knott; his siblings-in-law, Shirley Johnson (Jerry Hemingway), Mary Harty (Jerry Paulson), Georjean Jensen, George Jensen (Val) and John Jensen (Bernice); and his grandpup Aspen.
