Eleanor Nolting Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Eleanor Nolting (Albert Lea, Minnesota), born in Zion, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 7, 2024 at the age of 95. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Wedekind and Mary Wedekind; her husband Robert "Bob" Nolting of Veteran's Cemetery; her sister Charlotte Calhoun (E. Kent); her sisters-in-law, Virginia, Lou and Helen; her brother Edwin A Wedekind (Elizabeth); and her brother-in-law Chuck Nolting (Wini).
She is survived by: her children, Mary Nolting and Doug Nolting (Stacy); her grandchildren, Christopher Nolting (Vuong) and Emily Nolting; and her nieces and nephews, Patty Palmer (Bruce), Coreen Johnson-Wiegel (Larry), MaryAnn Biermeier (Fritz), Barb Wedekind-Selton (Phillip), Greg Nolting, Barry Yocum (Betty), Kurt Crocker, Kent Calhoun, Steven Calhoun (Kristen) and John Wedekind (Jolynn). She is also survived by many other extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, Lea wished for donations to be made to the United Pre-School of Albert Lea, the Albert Lea Senior Center, or the Albert Lea American Legion.
