He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edwin A Zabel and Martha Zabel (Wendt); his child Luann; his wife Joan Zabel (Strong); his sons, James "Jim" Zabel (Rachel) of Albeft Lea, MN and Frank Zabel of Burnsville, MN; his granddaughters, Jamie Martin (Neal) of Nora Springs, IA and Tammy Jarvi (Charlie) of Owatonna, MN; and his great grandchildren, Carson, Madisyn Jarvi, Quintin and Josephine Martin. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
