She is survived by: her friend Vi Mattson; her sister Sandra Collins; her children, Jeri Novinska (Larry), David Schoonover (Carole), Todd Schoonover (Lori), Tina Kermes (Matt) and Dale Schoonover (Molly); her grandchildren, Ryan Novinska (Brianne), Jennie Melde (Jeremy), Katie Barnes (Stephen), Amanda Schoonover (Matthew Eller), Erin Lundberg (John), Jason Schoonover (Megan), Ashley Schoonover, Carlton Stripe (Aunna), Karina Stripe (Tyler Doran), Chloe Stripe, Annie Schoonover, Mary Kate Schoonover and Emily Schoonover; her stepgrandchildren, Whitney Petersen (Pete) and Adam Kermes (Tasha); and her great grandchildren, Jasmine Novinska, Lexi Novinska, Ethan Melde, Tanner Melde, Clara Barnes, Mira Barnes, Mason Barnes, Emmy Lundberg, Kenzie Lundberg, Isla Lundberg, Miles Lundberg, Simon Schoonover, Mara Petersen and Tobias Kermes. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends.
She spent her final years at Oak Park Assisted Living and Memory Care in Albert Lea, and her family would like to thank the staff for their care and kindness—especially during the pandemic when family visitation was limited.
