He was predeceased by: his parents, Royal Baseman and Dorothy Baseman (Westfall); his siblings, Jane Rousey, Duaine Baseman and Robert Baseman; his brother-in-law Dean Lemkau; and his stepdaughter Michelle Bettin-Bren.
He is survived by: his wife Jan; his children, Corina Baseman of Glenville and Wade Baseman (Kari) of Lenox, Missouri; his stepsons, Dan, Pat and Rick; and his siblings, Rodger Baseman (Barbara) of Glenville, Lyle Baseman (Faye) of Ely, LeRoy Baseman (Alane) of Glenville, Daryll Baseman (Marlene) of Albert Lea, Germaine Lemkau of Aurora and Caroleen Edgar of Ankeny, Iowa. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
