With profound sadness, we say goodbye to David Carlsen (Albert Lea, Minnesota), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. David left this world on December 26, 2024 at the age of 83, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Carlsen and Dolores Carlsen (Edwin); his brother Dick (Elaine); his niece Wendy Nelson of Charlie's Angels; his nephew Kim Carlsen; and his great-niece Anne Marie Carlsen.
He is survived by: his daughters, Laurie David (Terry), Lisa Carlsen (Nicho Madrigal) and Amy Stanek (Dave); his grandchildren, Ben Martinson (Rebecca), Ashley Pehrson, Matt Madrigal (Tara Hertges), Dan Martinson (Gabby), Kirsten Fuerstenberg (Travis) and Emily O'Sell (Connor); his great grandchildren, Jacobi Madrigal, Joseph Martinson, Jayden Madrigal, Madison Martinson, Jax Pehrson, Kylie Fuerstenberg, Aubrey Fuerstenberg, Madilyn Madrigal, Elayna O'Sell, Sophia O'Sell, Lucy O'Sell, Charlotte Martinson and Bobbie Martinson; his sister Kathy Parry; his niece Michelle Pederson (Chad); his nephew Dustin Parry (Suzanne); his aunt Marlys Johnson (Sid); his great-niece Jennifer Nelson; his great-nephews, Jason Nelson and Greg Remus; and his close friends, Becki and Denny. He is also survived by many cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bayview Freeborn Funeral Home (1415 State Hwy 13, Albert Lea, MN 56007). A memorial service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at the Graceland Cemetery (1800 W Main St, Albert Lea, MN 56007).
