He was predeceased by: his brother Jimmy Bartness; and his grandparents, Ellsworth, Alice Bartness, Harry and Fern Christensen.
He is survived by: his parents, Arvil Bartness of Hartland and Beverly Rietema (Wayne) of Kanawha, IA; his siblings, Bryan Bartness, Mark Bartness and Penny Roy (Jerry) of Northfield, MN; and also Dode Bartness of Hartland. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Disabled American Veterans, Mayo Hospice, or Hartland Cemetery.
