She was predeceased by: her parents, Horace Grant Carey and Cecelia Thome Carey; and her siblings, Magdalene Carey Clance, Helen Carey Ulwelling, Velma Carey Strange, Mary Carey Winkels, Margaret Carey Butler, Horace Carey Jr., Bernard Carey and Michael Carey.
She is survived by: her husband Thomas Winjum; her daughters, Rita Peterson (Paul), Kelli Evenson and Peggy Benson (Ron); her grandsons, Joshua Winjum (Carrie) and Brandon Benson (Cassi); her great grandchildren, Jamal Donovan, Devin Winjum, Morgan Reuvers, Emma, Benjamin and Elizabeth Benson; her great great grandchild Avery Grace Abrams; her siblings, David Carey (Mary), Charlene Carey Young and Rosemary Carey Price (Keith); and her siblings-in-law, Sharon Ulland, Elaine King (Raymond) and Arthur Winjum Jr.. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
