He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Groe and Pearl Groe (Sime); and his siblings, Carmen Butler, Evelyn Fjelstad, Orin, Burnell, Elton, Duane, Gerald, Donald and Eugene.
He is survived by: his wife Rhodette Tangen; his children, Terri Ganrude (Duane) and Kevin Groe; his grandson Nicholas Ganrude; and his siblings-in-law, Louise Groe, Karen Brown, Barb Tangen and Gary Tangen (Barb). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorials in his honor may be sent to the American Cancer Society and to Peace & Power.
