He was predeceased by: his parents, Nels Bergland and Agnes Bergland (Gulbertson); his wife Marlys Bergland (Dempewolf); and his siblings, John, Marvin, Truman, Helmer, Ole, Wallace, Wilma, Nettie, Thelma, Verna and Norma.
He is survived by: his son Brent Bergland (Linda); his granddaughter Amanda Bergland (Brandon Hansen); his daughter Brenda Miller; his granddaughter Tanya Miller; his great grandchildren, Elijah, Ayannah, Morgan and Chloe; his son Josh Miller (Brynn); his grandchildren, Jaeger and Cashus; and his sisters-in-law, Ila Jean Loge, JoAnn Olson and Clarice Dempewolf.
