It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Allen E. Christensen of Albert Lea, Minnesota, born in Worthington, Minnesota, who passed away on January 24, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thorwald Christensen and Helen Christensen (Hulbert). He is survived by: his wife Lyla "Tep" Jakel; his children, Jeannie Jakel, Sherri Knutson (Larry), Kathy Rayman (Dan) and Tom Christensen; his grandchildren, Kim Enyart (Ryan), Kris Knutson, Jarrad Knutson, Amy Schuhmacher (Brad), Jenni Mattson (Chad) and Christy Baas (Brian); and his sister Marlene Schievelbein. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Memorials preferred to the Glenville Fire Department or American Legion Post 56 Honor Guard.
