He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Heukelom and Bertha Van Heukelom (Te Grootenhuis); his son Stephen Thompson; his former wife Joan Anna Van Heukelom; and his brother-in-law John Van Dis.
He is survived by: his wife Tami Blegem; his granddaughter Amanda Cantillo of Indiana; his son Daniel Lund (Karilyn); his grandchildren, Jaclyn, Zackery and Anne Thibodo (Ryan); his children, Waylon, Etta Louise and Baxter; his grandchildren, Amy Van Heukelom, Janaya White and Nevada White; and his siblings, Shirley Van Dis, Richard Van Heukelom and Cynthia Bekken.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home (300 Railroad Ave, Albany, MN 56307).
