He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Sr. Gruenke and Frances Gruenke (Kalla); and his siblings, Harry, Viola, Hortense, Alfred, Eleanor, Werner, Delores, Gumpert, Pirmin, Virgil and Ruth.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Gruenke; his children, Tom Gruenke (Nancy) and Paula Gruenke; and his sister Bernice Steffen. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren.
