It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert John Jewell Sr. of Akeley, Minnesota, born in Walker, Minnesota, who passed away on January 18, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Jewell and Dorothy Jewell; his siblings-in-law, Grant and Ruth Bethel; his brother Philip Jr.; his nephews, Philip 3rd Jewell (Skip) and Kerry Jewell; his son-in-law Robert Alfaro; his siblings-in-law, Roger, Donald, Harold, Tracy, Keith Bethel, Carral Lanning, Henry Reichert, Peggy, Debbie and Evelyn Bethel; and his niece Kim Reichart.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Bethel; his children, Gail Alfaro (Scott Crow) and Robert Jr. Jewell (Lisa); and his siblings-in-law, Dorothy Lanning, Susan Reichert and Reggie Bethel. He is also survived by six grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren.
