She was predeceased by: her parents, Gottlieb Edward and Christina Semmler (Ruff); her husband James LeRoy Hayes; her siblings, Waldemar, Ewald, Alfred, Karl, Lawrence, Alvin and Laura Clark; her stepfather Carl Hart; and her stepsiblings, Louis, Jeanie and Caroline.
She is survived by: her children, Joan Houchin, Jimmy Hayes (Patricia), Lawrence Hayes (DeeAnn), Kathy Sauer (Ray) and Theresa Wells (Ron); and her grandchildren, Heidi Hilzendeger, Wendi Hartig, Herbie Hensel (Christina), Dwayne Hayes, James Hayes, Laura Hayes, Joseph Sauer (Diana), Justin Sauer, Jonathan Sauer (Megan), Erin Haefele (Ryan), Richard Cutter, Casey Cutter (Jessica) and Melissa Wells. She is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
