He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Burgstaler and Frances Burgstaler (Smolnikar); and his siblings, Frank, John Burgstaler, Ann Hamilton, Sylvia Sabart and Fronie Deblock.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Scheffler; his sons, Edwin A. Burgstaler (Jane) of Rochester, Fred Burgstaler (Debbie Spychala) of Aitkin and Donald Burgstaler of Aitkin; and his siblings, Rudy Burgstaler (Joyce) of Kimball, Vickie McCollum of Ocean City, CA and Ollie DeYoung of Henderson, Nev. He is also survived by three daughters.
