We bid farewell to Mary Jo Nelson of Afton, Minnesota, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 7, 2024 at the age of 69. Mary Jo touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wallace Murphy and Eleanor Murphy; her siblings, Deacon Larry Murphy and Ann Holland; and her niece Colleen Murphy.
She is survived by: her husband Jake Nelson; her daughters, Briana Sykora (Justin) and Kelli Mattila (Robert); her grandchildren, Tanner Mattila, Hailey and Ashlee Sykora; her siblings, Jerome Murphy (Kathleen), Katherine Gontarek (Greg), Robert Murphy (Mary Lou), Dennis Murphy (Joanne) and Mark Murphy (Rita); and her siblings-in-law, Betty Lou Murphy and Michael Holland.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 25th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wulff Woodbury Funeral Home (2195 Woodlane Dr, Woodbury, MN 55125). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, September 25th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wulff Funeral Home (2195 Woodlane Dr, Woodbury, MN 55125). A prayer will be held on Wednesday, September 25th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Wulff Woodbury Funeral Home (2195 Woodlane Dr, Woodbury, MN 55125).
