We are sad to announce that on March 17, 2019, at the age of 88, Kathleen C. Rooney (Afton, Minnesota) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband John Rooney (Bud); her son Joseph Timothy; her parents, Joseph Borden and Marie Borden; her siblings, Helen Hudson (Bob), Patricia Dillon (Dick), Dick Borden (Gloria) and Joe Borden; and her brother-in-law Arnold Lindberg.
She is survived by: her sister Mary Anne Lindberg; her sisters-in-law, Mary Ann O'Rourke Borden and Mary Helen Rooney Hormachea; her children, Mike, Megan, John (Bridget), Dan (Lisa Guyer-Rooney), Maureen Detviler (Jim), Colleen Powers (Kevin) and Kitty Rogers (Scott); her grandchildren, Nicholas Rooney, Shannon Caswell (Tony), Katie Pilkington (Will), Colin Peltier (Nichole), Colleen (Charlie), Conor Rooney (Mackenzie), Kelsey Rogers, Matthew (Cassie), Emily Heslin, Kathryn, Thomas Rooney, Alison and Madison Detviler; and her great grandchildren, Declan, Kellen, Ellie, Isla, Charlotte, Kailyn and Adelyn. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent directly either to charity of choice or the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, Mayo Clinics or MN Alzheimer's Association.
