He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Block and Margaret Block (Klaassen); his wife Betty Lou Block; and his siblings, Darlene Heidebrink, Clarence and Clifford Block.
He is survived by: his children, Laura Fresk (Steve) of Windom, MN, Dan Block (Jo) of Adrian, MN, Tim Block (Laurie) of Johns Island, SC and Sally Roth (Scott) of Red Wing, MN; his grandchildren, Clayton Fresk (Kara), Jessica DeRosier (Adam), Spencer Fresk (Anna Lauren), Bryce Block (Lindsey), Brett Block, Bridgett Gacke (Josh), Brittany Mabry (Tucker), Brandon Block, Calvin Roth, Solveig Roth and Anja Roth; and his sisters-in-law, JoAnn Block, Joyce Kanengieter (Everon) and Eleanor DeBoer. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Block family for later designation.
