He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Schmitz and Helen Schmitz (Bauer); his brother Michael Schmitz; and his niece Michelle Meyer (Schmitz). He is survived by: his daughters, Theresa Freese (David), Kathy Jo Kiefer (Chris), Leslie Taylor (Josh) and Joni Smith (Winston); his grandchildren, Kyle, Allicia, Ava, Gavin, Owen, Weston, Brynley, Beau, Vince, Varity, Houston and Lucy; his siblings, Patrick Schmitz (Peg) and Louise Eastman (Norman, Sr); his sister-in-law Mary Schmitz; and his pet Mia. He is also survived by daughters and grandkids.
