He is survived by: his former wife Beatrice Hill (Bettie); his wife Shirley Klinger of Adams, MN; his children, Ramona Opitz (Ward) of Byron, MN, Jody Thome of Grand Meadow, MN, Sheila Brockhaus (Jim) of Savage, MN and Julie Schouweiler (Chuck) of Kronenwetter, WI; his stepdaughters, Brenda Johnson (Michael) of Naples, FL, Kim Weise (Tim Bartelt) of Madison Lake, MN and Lisa Wadd (Curtis) of Madison; his sisters, Bernice Hanson of Owatonna, MN, Lioba Smith of Adams, MN and Darlene Hemann of Stacyville, IA; and his sisters-in-law, Judy Meyer (Larry) of Waseca, MN and Sharon Brandt of Waseca, MN. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 2 step great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Johnsburg, MN.
