He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Smith and Anna Margaret Smith (Mullenbach); his son Gary Smith; his grandson Corey Andrews; his siblings, Cyril Smith, Gladys Blake and Louise Juenger; and his brothers-in-law, Othmar Blake and Robert Shotliff.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Smith of Adams; his children, Ricky Smith (Tracy) of Adams and Judy Andrews (Richard) of Hollandale; his siblings, Ruth Shotliff of Jordan and Ralph Smith (Beverly) of McIntire; and his brother-in-law Virgil Juenger of Stacyville. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made in memory of Jerry to the Parkinson's Foundation.
