He was predeceased by: his parents, William D. Sr. Wilkens and Olga Wilkens; his brother-in-law Grover Knorr; his sister Dorothy; his siblings-in-law, Fernald Holte, Diane and Marilyn Wilkens; and his grandson Jacob Alexander.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Nepstad; his children, Deb Alexander (Glen), Pam Twells, Wayne Wilkens (Kathy) and Wanda Rosenberger (John); and his siblings, Delores Knorr, Lois Gigler (Leslie), Raymond Wilkens, Audrey Larson (Roger) and DiAnna Kudelka (Joe). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
